If you have McAfee installed on your machine as the antivirus program, here are instructions that may be helpful
in setting up an exception within McAfee to allow Download Surgeon to run correctly:

1. Open McAfee
2. Go to Firewall Settings
3. Go to Net Guard and turn OFF
4. Go to Ports and settings: Make connections ALL
5. Go to Ports and settings.
6. Check boxes for
7. Webservices Port 80 tcp/ip
8. Network Time UDP Port 123

If you need specific paths for Download Surgeon to add as exceptions, please use these:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Download Surgeon\DownloadSurgeon.exe

C:\Program Files (x86)\Download Surgeon\run.exe

C:\Program Files (x86)\WinPcap\rpcapd.exe

** On machines with older OS’s like XP, (32 bit system)the folder structure is slightly different and will be this:   C:\Program Files\
