Error Message: Audio device could not be initialized

When you open Song Surgeon and/or try to play a file and get a message similar to what is shown below, you may have a problem with one of your audio drivers.

" Sorry, but the audio device could not be initialized. Error was 23-
The device number specified is invalid (is there  sound card on the
system, and are its drivers installed?  "

Please go to your device manager and then look in the section for 'sound' devices, and then look at all of the installed hardware components and see if any have error or warning messages.  If you find any that do, please update the drivers for these and then try Song Surgeon again.
