Most machine that are upgraded to Big Sur are running Song Surgeon correctly. However we have seen issues an a small percentage of machine where the app seems to hang. Here is what you need to do.
If you purchased before 11/29/20, uninstall the program then download and reinstall the newest build using this link:
http://downloadsurgeon.com/files/DownloadSurgeon3.dmg
If you are a recent purchaser 11/29/20 or more recently you can skip the reinstall step.
Close DS3
Close the blue TMJ app (AppReg) - you will likely also see this is in your dock
Do a forced quit if necessary.
Next, download this script: https://downloadsurgeon.com/files/Fixer-DS-BS.dmg
After downloading the script double click the .dmg file. This will open a small dialog window which will show a file inside of it with a graphic. Double click this graphic and it will run the script and return a message. Hopefully it will say "Everything is fixed".
If you see a warning from your Mac about not being able to check for malicious virus, refer to this link for guidance on how to resolve it, so you can open and run this script. After opening and running this script and seeing the message that "Everything is fixed" try Opening Download Surgeon.
If you continue to have a problem, please complete an incident support ticket.
