Could Not Create Empty WAV file

Could Not Create Empty WAV file

When opening Song Surgeon, if you see an error message like this "Could Not Create Empty WAV file"
followed by a path like this:

C:/Users/YOUR USER NAME/Documents/Song Surgeon 5/temp/Untitled.wav

there was an issue when installing that blocked SS from create the folders it needs to operate.  This can be caused
by permissions issues, or it can be caused when you reinstall the program in a different location than it was installed
the first time.

To check and fix this issue:

1.  Go this location in the error message and see if there is a "Song Surgeon 5" folder.

C:/Users/XXXXX/Documents/Song Surgeon 5/   (in place of the X's the error message will show a specific User Name, follow that path)

It is likely that when gong there you will NOT find the "Song Surgeon 5" folder.  The program expects it to be there and that is why it is having a problem.
If it is not there then create it manually.

After creating it, then you will next need to create the following group of subfolders in side of this main folder

temp
recording
project
playlists
logs
export
crash_logs
audio

Once this subfolder have been created in the CORRECT location, you should be able click the SS icon and the program should now open.

If you still have problems after doing this, please complete a support ticket.
